Pistol Range Changes in 2011

Major changes to the pistol range are taking place this summer. Please refer to the diagram. Two new bays, #11 and #12, are being added. These new bays will allow 3-gun competition and pistol metallic silhouette shooting. As part of the changes, the concrete walkways have been removed from Bay 3. Work will continue throughout the summer, as volunteers and equipment are available.

PLEASE NOTE: To take advantage of donated heavy equipment, it may be necessary to shut down the pistol range with little, or no, advanced notice. This is necessary to keep down the cost of the improvements. Whenever possible, closures will be posted on the main page.

CRITICAL SAFETY INFORMATION:

Please note the shaded area on the diagram. The shaded area indicates the impact zone for ricochets from bays 1-3. Until all the changes are finalized, bays 6 through 12 can only be used when bays 1 through 3 are closed. Bays 6 through 12 are not to be used unless scheduled and reserved.
